I keep
getting emails from concerned people questioning why as an animal
lover I would sell ivory. Just to clarify things I would NEVER sell
ivory from any living and endangered animals. I guess there are some
that are not aware that mammoths and prehistoric walrus' died over
25,000 years ago. The links below from the companies I buy from should
explain in more detail about their ivory
http://www.korite.com/mammoth.htm "Whole
Tusks are never destroyed to make jewelry, so as to ensure future
generations can enjoy the treasure left behind by this unique
animal. "
http://www.zealandia.com/fossil_info.htm
"Fossil walrus ivories are primarily found on St. Lawrence Island,
Alaska and up and down the mainland Alaskan coast. Some of the
fossils weather out of the ground on its on, however the majority of
it is excavated by Eskimos from their Ancestral village sites"
